During the 2022 HWT Spring Forecasting Experiment, CAPS is running several ensembles of FV3-LAM forecasts on a CONUS domain for select weekdays in May and June 2022. Forecasts are initialized at 00 UTC (7:00 PM CDT). The goal of these forecasts is to assist the National Weather Service in determining an optimal configuration for the next generation FV3 ensemble, the Rapid Refresh Forecasting System (RRFS). To view forecast products, select a day from the calendar at the top of the page, and then select a forecast field and forecast hour from the forecast product table. A table with details on forecast configurations can be found here: 2022 CAPS HWT SFE Ensemble Member Descriptions All runs performed during this experiment were run on Texas Advanced Computing Center (TACC) Frontera supercomputer, an NSF XSEDE resource. |
